Anand has extensively performed in India, The UK, Hungary and The US. In India, Anand has been presented by The Poona Music Society, Alliance Francaise in Goa, Musee Musical in Chennai, Trivandrum Centre for Performing Arts, Bangalore School of Music, Delhi Music Society, The Calcutta School of Music, Auroville, Azim Premji University (Bangalore), Hyderabad Western Music Foundation (HWMF), The Valence Energies and the prestigious Steinway & Sons/Furtados.
Anand started his recording project in December 2020 and titled the series on Youtube as ‘ Art Music Contemplation series’. Lecture recitals/performances form an integral part of Anand’s output as a performer.
Musical explanations (lecture and performance) include highlighting the themes, motifs, melodies, etc.
The reason for this type of lecture recitals/performances: During his extensive travel (for music; he has visited more than 8 countries) he realised there are a lot of people interested in art music and the only thing that stops them is the perceived ‘complexity’ in art music.
Anand also uses this method to communicate with the audience on a personal level.
Furtados is always very happy to host the exceptionally gifted
Anand Seshadri in our showroom concerts for our select
audiences.
In addition to his accomplished performing of a wide
variety of repertoire,
Anand is also an engaging communicator
with an in-depth knowledge of his
subject matter. He is destined
for great things on the performing scene in India.
We look
forward to working closely with one of our country’s finest
pianists.
I have known Anand since he graduated with MMus Distinction
from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He is an ambitious and
dedicated pianist who plays with sincere engagement and strives
to communicate his ideas directly to his audience.
It has been a great joy to collaborate with Anand Seshadri for several events
in the past years. He played three recitals in Hyderabad organized by Hyderabad Western Music Foundation: December 2016 at Goethe-Zentrum, June 2017 at Vidyaranya High School and October 2018 at
Alliance Francaise.
Anand is an accomplished well-trained pianist with great love and
passion for music. He covers and masters a broad and interesting spectrum of classical compositions. His playing as well his interaction with the audience (in explaining the music before playing) has always been a bliss.
Anand Seshadri is a person whom I have had the great pleasure of knowing and being associated with, as a pianist, composer and friend, for several years now. I first met him in his Avatar as a Pianist at a concert in Chennai. Given the fact that concert level pianists playing western classical music are a rarity in the country in general, Anand’s recital with its repertoire in particular, came as a breath of fresh air.
Anand’s seriousness of purpose in approaching his art, may be gauged by his repository, that includes the classical masters from Bach, Haydn, Mozart to the Romantics beginning with Beethoven, and going all the way to Schubert, Chopin, Brahms, Liszt to name a few.
It was not just his focus and mastery that struck me, as much as his penchant,
to avoid any concession to the gallery. Just when I was looking for a Maestro to give a concert for the students of my Open Course on Western Classical Music Appreciation,
Anand fell on my lap like a manna from heaven, l iterally! And I am not exaggerating here. I hope that I have been able to capture in words, the gamut of feelings that have run through me, over the years that I have known Maestro Anand Seshadri. I have engaged with Anand on discussions related to music in general and Western Classical Music in particular. I have found him most learned, endowed as he is with an erudite mind.
